Alpha 4.01 is ready

Alpha 4.01 is now available. Thanks to all of the testers who have already started downloading and testing the game! You can download the latest version from this link:

What’s fixed

32-bit JVM support – there were memory allocation problems if your PC was 64-bit and you’ve installed 32-bit Java, which can only address up to 2GB of memory. The game now recognizes this situation and allocates memory appropriately

Error reploying fleets – you could get an error when reploying a fleet to a system in the same turn as it was deployed.

Next Turn errors – there were two different errors reported that occurred during Next Turn. Both of those have been fixed

Loading saved game errors – I found a bug when trying to load a saved game file sent by a tester. I have fixed this.

Miscellaneous ship combat errors – fixed a bug where only 1 weapon was being used in calculating damage to a stack. Fixed a visual error where attacks against a planet seemed to go to the top left of the combat UI.

There will be more bugs found, but these are all dead now. Thanks again!
