Targeted language translations for initial release

Some of you may know that, as part of this project’s plans for world domination, one of its primary goals is to be playable in as many people’s native languages as possible. Anyone who has played the latest alpha knows that it is currently playable in 4 languages (English, German, Greek & Polish) with 4 more language translations on the horizon (French, Hungarian, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian).

So if there are any doubts about the global ambitions of this project, just let that sink in for a minute. Nine languages already, and we’re not even close to being finished!

Unfortunately, there are like a zillion different languages spoken across the world and my original stated goal was to deliver the game’s initial release in at least 20 languages, preferably 30. In other words, while we are well out of the starting gates we still have a long way to go.

Here is the list of languages for which that constitute the minimum requirements for game’s initial release. This does not mean that these are the only other languages I will do translations for, but that these must all be done release.

Not only will this list get us over 20 languages, but it will cover the native language of half of the world’s population. Languages that are crossed out are already being actively translated.

In order of native speakers:

  • Chinese
  • Spanish
  • English
  • Hindi
  • Arabic
  • Portuguese
  • Bengali
  • Russian
  • Japanese
  • German
  • Korean
  • French
  • Turkish
  • Italian
  • Polish
  • Ukrainian
  • Dutch
  • Hungarian
  • Greek
  • Swedish
  • Bulgarian
If one of those languages is your native tongue and you would like to see Remnants of the Precursors playable in your language, please email me at ray.fowler@protonmail.com for details on how to get started.
If your native language is not on that list and you would like to see it, email me as well.
